Small Things, Big Things
The magic of the small things
Of letting soft linens brush on my skin
Allowing subtle sensations be enough
To fill my whole being with a smile
With satisfaction that life will always be enough
To fill my cup
No need to seek out 100 new things
Or fill up every hour of the day
Or worry about the logistics
Mere flowing of it all is perfect
Taking quiet breaths into my pelvis
Expanding my hips, my chest
Smiling at beauty and folly of it all
Smiling at messiness and importance, too
Here is where creation comes from
When my body is fully here with me
I can feel the juices flowing,
They are lubricants to the divine
Inspiration from a place of reverence,
Receptivity, love
From a place of truth
And that’s why we’re here
To open ourselves to the truth
That lives inside us
And connects us to the world around us
The quiet, patient truth
In the long form I sometimes struggle to express what I’m feeling. In poetry, there is a simplicity for me. Things flow out without expectations. I will still try. I’ve been on a big journey lately with coming to terms with what I want Where Might We Wander to be in the coming months, years. I have huge dreams of offering more gathering opportunities, more offerings and working together with local healers. There is SO MUCH POTENTIAL HERE. What I am still learning to embrace is how much I have to offer. I am learning not only to accept but to believe in myself enough to start bringing this work to life. I dream of regularly gathering women, men and queer humans together to talk about their worlds. To take time together in a sacred circle for heart opening, mind expanding and body liberating experiences in community. The last 6 months I have been leaning into this work from other practitioners and organizations. I have let divine inspiration flow through me, listening to the small, medium and large requests of me coming from the divine.
The first was in December, when the divine asked me to take a break in January and possibly February from hosting Conscious Women’s Gathering in order to recalibrate. It felt like a request to look at how I’ve been leading those gatherings and in what ways I can bring even more authenticity, leadership, and inspiration to them. In truth, the structure will not change too much. It will be the authenticity and potency that will be elevated. The monthly Conscious Women’s Gatherings will start back up on Sunday March 24th, 2024. I am so excited to come together once again. I am bringing more confidence, more divine guidance and more reverence for this work than I ever have before. I am imagining the women coming will feel so held, seen and nourished from the experience like never before.
This work is service. It is in service to all the people who are part of the gatherings, it’s in service to the divine itself and to our collective liberation. We must individually liberate ourselves, both alone and in community, to reach collective liberation.
I am so looking forward to beginning this monthly group again. For picking themes, choosing playlists, channeling the messages that need and want to come through. I look forward to laughing with you all, dancing, sharing, crying and creating art.
Lastly, thank you to all who have joined the circles up to this point. Even if you’ve only joined once, that matters. You bring love, light and motivation to this dream. I hope to have robust circles each month with those of you who are returning and those of you who will join us for the first time.
In the coming months, look for new offerings. This growth process is slow, that I can see now. Nothing with Where Might We Wander has happened quickly yet and that’s absolutely perfect. I have plans to host more in person experiences as well as some online offerings for those of you who aren’t in Maine but feel called to the work of self and collective liberation.
